A few HINTS to get you started
♥ When making items for newborns, especially hats, PLEASE use soft baby, sport, or Simply Soft type yarns.
♥ Babies have delicate skin - thick or chunky yarns will not work.
♥ Ask the hospital where you are donating for suggestions on patterns to use, colors, sizes.
♥ To fit a newborn make the hat stretchy and large enough to fit on a grapefruit.

Bev's LEARN to Crochet or Knit Page
There are many tiny, new babies in need of warm hats, booties and blankets. I started making preemie/newborn items because my eldest son was born 7 weeks early. Someone knitted a tiny yellow and green hat for him, that I still have. That was many years ago in LaCrosse, WI, but I have never forgotten how that one little hat, helped me make it through the long, dark hours of worry. I was so relieved that someone had made something just for my baby. That tiny hat became a symbol of hope for me. I knew I had to repay that someday and that's why this website is here.
