I get questions sent to me every day, and many are the same ones, just worded a bit differently.  I would like to address those here.  If you don't see your question answered here, then please send it along to me and I will do my best to answer it.  First of all, if you have a COPYRIGHT Question... here is a really good website with info about that for crafters COPYRIGHTS for CRAFTERS!

    Q:     Can you please tell me how to make this pattern, or that pattern, or I don't understand the instructions on this pattern...?
    A: The first question is one I hear all the time.  Please know that if I did not personally create the pattern, (they have my name with the copyright) it is highly unlikely I will be able to answer any questions about it, even if it is on my site.  Also, many of you don't know which patterns are on my site, and which are just LINKS to other pages.  You can tell this by looking at that WHITE LONG BAR, at the top of your monitor/page that lists the address for the page you are on.  If it says bevscountrycottage.com in there, the pattern is on my page.  If not, it isn't.

    Q: I don't understand the directions on this pattern on 'so and so's site, can you help me?
    A: I'm sorry, you need to go to 'so and so's site and find a way to email them and ask for help there.

    Q: How can I join your website?
    A: My website is free, there is nothing to join. I do always really appreciate your support through my affiliate program purchases like you will find on my Bookstore page or through other ads you might see on my pages.

    Q:     Where can I find 'such and such' pattern?
    A: You can look around my website using the seach boxes found at the top of this page.
          Just type in what you are looking for, in the white blank line on those search boxes, like "Bev's Egg Cozy Pattern", and click  'SEARCH'.
    There are approx. 1000 pages on my website filled with patterns, link and information...

    Q: Where can I send all the baby items I made?
    A: You can either take them to a loal hospital, check to see first if they need what you have made.  Or, you can look on this page:

    I love to crochet, and I would love to make stuff to donate. How does this work?? Do I send them right to the hospitals I choose from your list?
    You can choose a hospital in your area that might be in need of the items you wish to make.  You will need to go there in person, or call and talk to the nurses on the OB floor or special nurseries.  Ask THEM what items they need.  Be sure to ask what colors are preferred as some don't want things made in yellow or blue, as they make ill babies look worse.  Be sure they know your items are to GIVEN to the patients and are not to be sold in the Gift Shop.

    Q: You asked me to send you the URL of the page I had a question about, what is a URL?
    A:  A URL is the exact web address of the page you are on. It will start with http://www.  It stands for "    Uniform Resource Locator".

    Q: Why are there broken links on some pages?
    A:     Because I work a couple of part time jobs outside the home as well as maintaining my website alone, and there are not enough hours in the day for me to spend all day long searching for broken links  =)  If you find a broken link, please email me with the page where it is located and the name of the pattern link that is not working, and I will fix it as soon as I can.

    Q: Why can't I just contact you directly, I don't like using the email page?
    A:  I don't post my email address online because there are people out there with spidering devices who search people's websites looking for email addresses to sell.  Most of those addresses are sold to spammers including those who market pornography.  No thanks!

    Q:  Can you please make me a pair of slippers, hat, dog coat.... and I will pay you?
    A: I now have an ETSY shop and you might find what you need in there.  If it's a small item (hat, mittens, slippers) and it's not listed there I might be able to make it for you. I have a page that has tutorials listed so you can learn to knit or crochet too. It's a great skill to know! =)

          Q. Can I sell items made from your patterns?
    A: Yes you can sell items made from MY patterns!!  (Hopefully you will make one or two for charity too.  These days there are so many in need.)  Please be sure the pattern copyright has my name on it, and not one of my kind pattern contributers.  I cannot give you permission to sell items made from their patterns even if they are on my site.  Also, do NOT sell my actual patterns, or even copy and paste them onto your blog, site, in emails, in forums etc.  They are free, but they are not yours to post.  A direct link would be the way to tell people about that pattern.     Q. I want to make ...insert pattern name... in a larger/smaller size?  Can you tell me how to do that?

    Q Why didn't you answer my email or question?
    A: I try to respond to each non-SPAM email I receive.  Sometimes emails require a long answer, and perhaps I have not had time to answer yet.  Please email me again.  Also, perhaps you made an error typing in your email address, as that happens occasionally.  Sometimes, mailboxes are full so yo won't get the response I sent.
