Lately I have heard people say about us, "You claim to be Christians, but you believe in a different Christ." or "Mormons don't believe in Christ."   So I thought I would share with you The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Official definition so you can decide for yourself as this IS what we believe and live...

Who is Jesus Christ?

"Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God the Father in the flesh. He was the Creator, He is our Savior, and He will be our Judge. Under the direction of our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ created the earth. Through His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and by giving His life on the cross—that is, by performing the Atonement—Jesus Christ saves us from our sins as we follow Him. Through His Resurrection, Jesus Christ saves us from physical death. Because He overcame death, we will all be given the gift of resurrection."

Official definition from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (click for more information on Christ)

If you are still not convinced, perhaps look at your friends and neighbors who are active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and ask yourself, 'are they doing any good? are they producing any good fruits'?  Jesus Christ told us we would be able to judge who were His followers by their fruits, in other words, by their works. (Matt 7:20

Do you hear them tearing down other churches or people's beliefs?  Do you see them helping where and when they can?  Are they good husbands and wives?  Are they striving to teach their children right from wrong?  Are they 'good people'?

LDS Pages on Bev's Country Cottage

"Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts. And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." (Moroni 10:3-5

"After reading some of the Book of Mormon, this most powerful scripture is what convinced me, finally, that I needed to kneel down and ask my Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon were true. I knew if it was, then Joseph Smith really was a Prophet of God, and the Church he helped establish was Christ's original Church restored  in our day. My answer came immediately with a warmth and a feeling of love as I had never felt loved and I knew it was true".  Bev

Some of Bev's Fave LDS TALKS

On reading the Book of Mormon
"Without reservation I promise you that if each of you will observe this simple program, regardless of how many times you previously may have read the Book of Mormon, there will come into your lives and into your homes an added measure of the Spirit of the Lord, a strengthened resolution to walk in obedience to His commandments, and a stronger testimony of the living reality of the Son of God."
President Gordon B. Hinckley, First Presidency Message, Aug 2005

MARRIAGE IS SACRED - let's protect it the way the Lord intended it to be Stand up for MARRIAGE between a woman and a man!  Articles pertaining to this:
'Why Not Gay Marriage?'

"Any alternatives to the legal and loving marriage between a man and a woman are helping to unravel the fabric of human society. I am sure this is pleasing to the devil. The fabric I refer to is the family. These so-called alternative lifestyles must not be accepted as right, because they frustrate God's commandment for a life-giving union of male and female within a legal  marriage as stated in Genesis. If practiced by all adults, these lifestyles would mean the end of the human family." President James E Faust, Ensign,

Bev's Personal Recommendation
My friend Kim Hicken and I attended Bruce Newbold's incredible one man narrative on the life of Christ called 'In Him Was Life'. at Women's Conference in 2004 and I attended it again in March 2007 in St. George, Utah.  It is wonderful to listen to, extremely uplifting.  Highly recommended.
