Linda's Cuffed Knit Slippers
(Copyright 2018 Linda Bohrn. Pattern posted with Linda Bohrn's Permission)
Note: You will see the following symbols in this pattern. They are as follows:
* sides of slipper,
**row beginning up to instep,
= instep of slipper.
See bottom for changing pattern for different sizes.
The
reason it says not to turn yet is that you will be passing one stitch
over from one needle to the other before turning. This will help to
keep a hole from forming and give the slipper a nice shape for the
instep.
Materials:
Size 8 (5 mm) knitting needles

P 1 row, K 1 row, for 6 - 8 rows. Bind off. Sew up back and bottom seams. You can make a cord or draw string to weave through the top for a tie if needed.
Larger size:
Cast on 55 sts.
Work same except:
**K 24, K 2 together, K 4, K 2 together. ** Turn
You may adjust sizes by adding or subtracting 10 stitches to cast on row and adding or subtracting 5 stitches to the ** row. This pattern works up very fast, especially after you have done the sides. I have made some with 2 strands of baby yarn and size 4 needles for babies.(35 sts)
