My heart bonnet. 6-12 month size

F hook red heart baby yarn. about 1oz or so
3 dc rows = 1 inch 2 shell rows = 1 inch

ch 6. join with sl st to form ring
1) ch 1. 12 sc into ring. join with sl st to first sc 
2) ch 3. 2dc in same st. skip 2 sts.* 3 dc in next st.skip 2 sts. repeat from * 2 times. join with sl st on top of ch 3
3) ch 3 .dc in same st. dc in next st. 2 dc in next st. ch 3. * 2dc in next dc. dc in next dc. 2dc in next dc ch 3.
repeat from* 2 times . join with sl st on top of ch 3.
4) ch 3. dc in same st. dc in each of next 3 dc. 2 dc in next dc. ch 3 .* 2 dc in next dc. dc in each of next 3 dc.
2 dc in next dc.ch 3. repeat from * 2 times.join with sl st on top of ch 3.
5) ch 3. dc in same st. dc in each of next 5 dc. 2 dc in next dc ch 2. sc into ch 3 space . ch 2. *2 dc in next dc.
dc in each of next 5 dc. 2 dc in next dc. ch 2. sc into ch 3 space. ch 2 . repeat from * 2 times. join with sl st
on top of ch 3.
6) skip next st. 7 dc in next st. skip 1 st. 7 dc in next st. skip 1 st. sl st into next st. ch 3. * sl st into next st.
skip next st. 7 dc in next st. skip 1 st. sl st in next st. skip 1 st. 7 dc in next st. skip 1 st. sl st into next st. ch 3,
repeat from * 2 times. join with sl st to first sl st.
7) sl st in each of next 2 st . sl st in next st. ch 1. sc in same st. ch 5.* sc in 4th dc of next 7dc cluster.
ch 5. sc into ch 3 space.ch 5. sc into 4th dc of 7 dc cluster. ch 5,repeat from * around. join with sl st
in first sc.
8) ch 1. sc in same st. 5 sc in ch 5 space. sc in next sc.* 5 sc in ch 5 space . sc in next sc. repeat from *
around . join with sl st in first sc.end off.
9) attach yarn in 4th sc of ch 5 space after the 2nd 7dc cluster of the heart.ch 1. sc in same st and in next 58 sts.
10) turn . ch 3. dc in same st. skip 1 st. shell ( 2dc ch 1 2 dc) in next st.* skip 2 sts. dc in next sc. skip 2 sc. shell in next st.
skip 2 sts. dc in next st. repeat from across. ending with sk 1 st and 2dc in last st. 10 shells
11) turn. ch 3. dc in same st.* shell in shell. trc in back post of dc between shells. repeat from * across. end with 2 dc in last dc.
12) turn. ch 3. dc in same st. * shell in shell. trc in front post of trc between shells. repeat from * across. end with 2dc in last st. 
13) repeat row 12
14) repeat row 13
15) repeat row 12
16) repeat row 13
17) ch 1. turn. sc in first 2 sts.* 7 dc in shell. sc in trc. repeat from * across. end with sc in last 2 sts.
18) working in bottom edge of bonnet. 2 sc in each end of row along side of bonnet and 1 sc in each sc at back of bonnet
and 2 sc in each end of row at side of bonnet. ch 50 for tie
19) turn . sc in 2nd ch from hook. and in each remaining ch of tie . sc in each sc at end of row. dec 3 sts evenly across back of bonnet
and sc in each sc at end of rows, ch 50
20) turn. sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch of tie.* sc in each of first 2 sc. dec 1 st over next 2 sc. repeat from *across.
end with sl st in sc before tie.
you can also skip the chs for the tie and attach a ribbon to each side of bonnet.
