Baby Ugs Booties

*** This is worked using 2 strands of baby sport weight yarn and an "I" hook. Approx. 3.75 inches long and 3 inches tall with cuff folded down. (These are for a newborn)

Cuff:
Row 1: With white, ch 4. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (3 sc)
Row 2-14: Sc in each sc across. Do NOT finish off yet.
To join: After last row, ch 1, fold in half to meet the other end. Sc thru both pieces in each sc across. (3 sc total) Finish off. Cuff is now in a ring. The seam of the cuff to the outside. The body of the bootie is worked with right side showing.

Bootie Body:
Rnd 1: At seam, join with sc in first sc, sc in each end of row around, sl st to first sc. (14 sc)
Rnd 2-5: Ch 1, sc in same st and in each sc around; join with a sl st to first sc. (14 sc)
Rnd 6: Ch 1, sc in same st and in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 7: Ch 1, sc in same st and in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 8: Ch 1, sc in same st and in next 9 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 9 sc; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 9-10: Ch 1, sc in same st and in each sc around. Finish off. (26 sc)

Sole:
Row 1: Ch 9, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 6 chs, 3 sc in last ch; working on opposite side of row, sc in next 6 chs, sc in last ch; join with sl st to first sc. (18 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in same st, sc in next 8 scs, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 8 scs, sc in same sp as first sc; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, 2 sc in same st, sc in next 10 scs, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 10 scs, sc in same sp as first sc; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off. (26 sc)
 
Assembly:
Holding bootie upside down, right side out and with seam at heel facing you, join with sc in first sc, sc in each sc around; join with sl st to first sc. This gives the bootie an edge around it. Finish off. Fold down cuff.
