Ch 3, dc in the next stitch and then dc evenly around and around without joining for several more rows till hat is about 7 " tall - for me it was 6 more rounds + 1 round brim by alternating front post and back post dc around. For larger size make the hats 8" tall, and 9" tall respectively.

Sl st to join at end of last round. Cut yarn tail about 5" long and weave in and out back inside the hat.
