Bev's COZY KNITTED SCARF

I've made them for all my kids, several LDS Missionaries, and it was my husband's favorite scarf of all time!  His was made on #10 needles and it was so wide he would fold it in half in really blizzardy weather.  Please consider making one for Warming Families also this year!  Thanks!

Size 8, 9, or 10 knitting needles - depending on how wide you want it.
2 - 3 colors 4 ply worsted yarn (approx. 6 oz total)
Cast on 39 sts in first color
K1, p1 across row.
Repeat this row, changing colors as you wish, or every 12 rows, until you reach desired length.  For adults it should be at least 5  - 6 feet long.
Add a fringe across top and bottom if desired.
