Each body piece should measure approximately 12 ½inches wide and 14”

I use 2 skeins of yarn and make both at the same time so they are
exactly the same size.
Cast on 48 sts
Work 4 ridges of garter stitch
Next row…. Purl
Next row…. Knit
Continue in stocking knit stitch until piece measures 13 inches long.
Work 4 rows of garter stitch and fasten off. Sew shoulder seams together for about 2 ½ inches on both sides.

SLEEVES: Make 2
I use 2 skeins of yarn and make both at the same time so they are exactly the same size.
Cast on 28 sts
Work 4 ridges of garter stitch
Next row…Purl
Next row…Knit
Continue in stocking knit st until piece measures 2 inches
Increase at both ends ever 4th row until there are 36 stitches
Continue until piece measures 6 ½ inches
Fasten off

ASSEMBLY:
Fold sleeve and mark center, pin center to center of shoulder seam.
Being careful not to stretch sleeve or body, pin and sew sleeve to body. Sew underarm seam and side seam.
Weave in all ends. Attach 1 or 2 buttons to shoulder seam for decoration.
NOTE…To change size, determine the width you want and the length then, using your gauge, adjust your cast on stitches.

Try using a pattern for your pieces :o)
