The sunflower is Ukraine's flower and I created this in support of the millions of innocents who are suffering because of the current war.
You are welcome to sell the flowers you make, to raise money to help, or give them away to show unity in support of those being oppressed.

This 2 1/2" sunflower can be made into a pin or a fridge magnet.
Materials: Size G (4 mm) crochet hook,
a few yards of yellow and also brown #4 yarn
Scissors, yarn needle, pin back and craft glue

Using BROWN, chain 3
Rnd 1: Make 10 hdc in the first chain, join with a slip stitch in top of 1st hdc.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each hdc around, join with a sl st using YELLOW yarn!
Rnd 3: *Ch 7, skip 1 hdc, sc into next, repeat from * around. (10 loops) Do not join... (image 1)
Rnd 4: still using yellow, ch 4, sk 1, sc in st between loops. (image 2) Join and end off by cutting a 3" tail. (image 3)
Using all yarn tails behind sunflower, tie together into several small square knots and cut off tails.

Glue or sew pin to back, or glue magnet to back.
