Let's get started on our BEV's WALKER BAG
Ch 60 for larger bag, and 36 sc for smaller bag. Join with a sc (we are working in the round!) (60 sts or 36 sts)
Round 1: Sc around being careful not to twist. Do not join from now on!
Round 2: HDC around.
Rounds 3-5: DC around.
Rounds 6-7: HDC around.
Rounds 8-9: DC around.
Rounds 10-12: HDC around. (Smaller Bag directions: hdc for 1 round)
Round 13: DC around. (Small bag this is round 12)
Round 14: Sc around and join at the end with a sl st. (Smaller bag this is round 13)
Sew or single crochet the base of bag closed.
Do 1 round of sc at the top in a fun contrast color if desired.
2 Straps and 2 Buttons
Row 1: Join a fun contrast yarn in back of bag, 6 stitches in from edge. Do sc in next 6 sts, ch1 turn around
Rows 2-16: Sc back and forth for a total of 16 rows. Sl st in 3 sts, ch 6 to make a loop, slst to end of row.
End off and make a 2nd strap also in 6 stitches from opposite edge in the back!
(This strap fits nicely over a standard Rollator or Walker "bar" see top photo.)
Sew the 2
buttons in the front of the bag down 1 or 2 rounds in the matching
front to where you made straps, so your strap loops can fit around each
button.
