LDS Women's Conference Hair Flowers
We made these hair pretties at BYU Women's Conference in 2009.  These are lovely to donate to foster care kids, women's shelters, family services.  Something little to bring joy to a girl.
Small amounts of sport or baby yarn
Size D or E crochet hook   (D= 2.5" flower    E=3.25" flower)

Chain 4: Join with a slip stitch to form a ring
Rnd 1: (right side)  Ch 1, sc in ring 12 times.  Join with a slip st to 1st sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1 sc in 1st sc, ch 3, (skip 1 sc, sc in next sc, ch 3) around.  Join with slip st to first sc (6-Ch3 sp).

Rnd 3:  Ch 1 (sc, 5 dc, sc) in each ch-3 around, join with slip st to 1st sc (6 petals).

Rnd 4:  Ch 1, working BEHIND petals and around post of sc on round 2; sc around first sc post, ch 5, (sc around next sc post, ch 5) around; join with slip st to first sc. (6 ch 5 sps)

Rnd 5: Ch 1, (sc 7 dc, sc) in each ch5 sp around; join with slip st to first sc, finish off.

FINISH:  Tie and glue to back of a metal hair clip.
