Bev's Softest Knit Cap

The picture shows one made from my favorite yarn 'Lion Brands Pound Of Love'- click link to order.
Works beautifully for chemo patients as this yarn is gloriously soft.
Size 13 knitting needles
2 oz 4 ply soft worsted weight
[Stitch directions: *Twisted Garter St= Knit each stich through the back loop across the row. Stockinette Stitch = Knit one row, Purl one row - continue]

Cast on 46 sts (age 8-12) Use 52-55 sts for womens and mens hats.

Work in *Twisted Garter St for 8 rows/4 ridges
Switch to stockinette stitch for 30 rows. (34-37 rows for womens and mens)
FINISH:
Cut a 15" tail of yarn. Thread onto sewing needle and then weave through each stitch. You can either leave the sts on the knitting needle to do that, or you can do what I prefer, and remove the sts carefully, then weave the sewing needle through each st.  Pull tightly to form the top. Sew side seam.  Add a pom pom if you wish.
