made in many colors and kids will love to carry them in a pocket so
that
can play with them while they travel in the car or even at home. Make
them
in different sizes with fewer sts. Make a whole family!

thank you for the Pocket Muggins pattern. I have made hundreds of them
to be taken
to the local childrens hospital here in London, Ontario, Canada. They are really
welcome in the Oncology Dept. I knit them in
bright colours to put a smile on the childrens faces. Thank you once again

Knitting
Needles size 2 (2.27 mm) Use small amounts of baby
yarn or sport yarn throughout. Small amount of fiberfill
for body and head. He ends up being about 3"
tall BODY Cast on 14 sts ROW 1: Knit across ROW 2: Purl Continue in stockinette stitch
for 9 rows. SHIRT Change colors for a shirt. Continue in stockinette stitch
for 6 rows HEAD Change to pink (or any flesh
color) Continue in stockinette stitch
for 8 rows. Cut yarn leaving a 5" tail.
Thread yarn onto sewing needle and carefully remove sts from knitting
needle.
Weave yarn through sts and pull to gather. Fold doll in half (inside
out) and whip st into a one ended tube. Flip right side
out.
Stuff lightly with fiberfill. Sew/weave the beginning tail of yarn
through
base of mascot. It looks like a peanut and is about 3" tall. Use black DMC floss to make
two small eyes (French knot) Or glue on 'googly eyes'. ARMS Cast on 9 sts using same color
as shirt. Work in Stockinette st for
7 rows. Remove sts from knitting needle
and gather as for head. Fold in half, inside out,
and whip st down seam. Turn right sound out. Do NOT
stuff.
Stitch arm to side of body as shown. Make another arm the same,
and attach. SCARF Cast on 3 sts in another yarn. Work in garter st (all knitting)
for 4" Cast off. HAT Cast on 13 sts Garter st for 6 rows Thread yarn through sts on
top of hat (same as top of head) And pull to gather.
Sew down side seam. Flip right side out, and stitch
to top of mascots head. Glue pin or stitch mascot to
a pin. Wear on jacket!
