Bev's Country
Newborn Hat and No-Scratch Mitts

ITA Newborn loom (for sale above!)  I love these - so easy on the hands!
CinDWood's 15 peg bootie loom (for mitts)

1 oz each of 2 soft yarns (you will use 2 strands held together throughout for the hat and only 1 strand for mitts)

Cast on (wrap) 2 rows using double strands yarn.
Single knit (1 wrap over 1 wrap) for 12 rows
Turn up to form brim (Pix of how-to-make- brim)
Single knit 12 more rows and remove from loom using the gathered method.

- use 15 peg Bootie Loom (scroll down to "Newborn Slipper 15 pegs half in. gauge" $5)
Cast on (wrap) 2 rows, using just 1 strand of yarn,  and e-wrap knit for 20 rows in single knit stitch (1 over 1)
Turn up to form brim (actually, cuff on mitts, but it's the same method as making a brim - see above)
Knit 14 more rows
Remove with gathering method.

This is a family safe search!
