This gown skirt will need to be
lined with satan etc. ALL WORK DONE IN BACK LOOPS TO ROW 9 ROW 1: Starting at neckline, ch 31. Dc in 2nd ch from hook. Dc in next 3 dc. (Dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch. *Dc in next 6 ch. (Dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch.* Repeat from * 2 more times. Dc in last 4 ch. Ch 3. Turn. ROWS 2-3: *Dc in each st to ch 2 sp. (Dc ch 2, dc) in ch 2 sp.* Repeat from * 3 more times. Dc in each remaining st. Ch 3. Turn. ROW 4: *Dc in each st to ch 2 sp. (Dc, ch 2, dc) in ch 2 sp.* Repeat from * 3 more times. Dc in each remaining st. Ch 2. Turn. ROW 5: *Hdc in each st to ch 2 sp. (Hdc, ch 2, hdc) in ch 2 sp.* Repeat from * 3 more times. Hdc in remaining st. Ch 2. Turn. ROW 6: (Forming the sleeves)
Hdc in
each st to ch 2 sp. Hdc in ch 2 sp. Sk all sts to next ch 2 sp. Hdc in
ch 2 sp. Hdc in each st to next ch 2 sp. Hdc in ch 2 sp. Sk all sts to
next ch 2
ROW 7: Dc in same st as ch 3. *Dc in next 3 sts. 2 dc in next st.* Repeat from * to last 4 st. Dc in remaining sts. Join with sl st. Ch 3. Turn. ROW 8: Dc in same st as ch 3. *Dc in next 5 st. 2 dc in next st.* Repeat from * around. Join with sl st. Ch 3. DO NOT TURN. ROW 9: 2 dc in same st as ch 3. Ch 1. *Sk 2 st. (Work through both loops now.) 3 dc in next st. Ch 1.* Repeat from * around. Join with sl st. ROW 10: Sl st in each stitch over to ch 2 sp. Sl st in ch 2 sp. Ch 3. 2 dc in same sp as ch 3. Ch 1. *3 dc in next ch 2 sp. Ch 1.* Repeat from * around. ROWS 11-30: Repeat Row 10 for approximately 12" to 15" from center of neckline to bottom of gown (for desired length of gown). Finish off. Add sleeves if desired. For the open back, use ribbon or crocheted chain ties to cross side to side through the back. This is so the back can be tied together if so desired. Feel free to embellish the front of
the gown
with ribbons, bows, tiny flowers, etc.
