Bev's Snuggle Bonnet

US Size 7 needles
Red Heart Baby Soft yarn (2 oz)

Cast on 20 sts and knit for 78 rows.

Bind off loosely.  Fold in 1/2 and whip stitch up side seam for form bonnet shape.

Pick up all sts across bottom of bonnet (36 sts)

Add 2 strands of yarn and knit across row.

Next row add 15 sts, knit across row (51 sts)

Next row add 5 more sts and knit across row (56 sts)

Knit 2 more rows.  End off.  Sew snap on part on each end of "ties" on band.

Add a tassle or pompom to the point at the top of the bonnet if you wish.
