Bev's Crocheted Bib

Size H hook  (Size 6 UK, 5 mm)

2 oz kitchen cotton yarn
Bibs are approx. 7" across and 6" tall before adding the "tie"

Main bib
Chain 29
R1: Dc in 3rd chain from hook
(sc in next ch, dc in next ch) repeat to end of row ending with a dc.  Ch 3 and turn.

R2: (dc into both loops of the scs of row below, and sc into both loops of the dcs of row below) repeat across, end with a sc,  Ch 3; turn.

R3: (sc both loops of the dc of row below, sc both loops of the dc of row below)  repeat across ending with dc.  Ch 1, turn.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 for 7" - make sure you crochet into the very last stitch.


"TIE"
Ch 3 and dc in next 5 sts - ch 3, counts as 1st dc. Ch 3, turn
R2: dc in next 5 dcm ch 3 and turn,
Repeat R 2 for 9" or 14 rows.
Finish off, leaving a 7" tail of yarn. Stitch the end of the 'tie' to the opposite side of the bib.
Bib can be slipped over baby's head to wear
