Brimless beanie hat
In 5 sizes - Babies, Elementary school kids, Teens/small woman,
Women's, Mens.
Crochet Hook size G or H (If
you crochet tightly use an I or J hook.)
3 oz worsted
weight yarn - use one color, or use a hodge-podge of colors, joining
whenever you run out if yarn! Looks so cool! Works for our troops too :)
Gauge: 7 hdc = 2" 6 rows= 2"
Abbreviations: ch = chain, sl st = slip stitch, hdc = half double crochet, sts = stitches
This is a great way to use up your
yarn stash. I recommend using a single type of yarn, as in don't
mix baby yarn and worsted weight, unless you double strand the baby
yarn. You want these to be nice and warm. You can
also make them with a strand of worsted weight held with a strand of
sock yarn. There are many
homeless, or those who don't have adequate warmth, and these beanies
are needed by the dozens in every city!
