Bev & Sherry's Baby BlanketCopyright Beverly A. Qualheim 2016, 2026 This pattern started out as a scarf to warm the homeless, and this lengthwise scarf too (!), but has evolved into this beautiful baby blanket thanks to Sherry B!! Blanket is approx. 32" square Gauge: 2 rows =1" 4 DC sts = 1" Approx. 1000 - 2000 yds total of at least 2 colors of worsted weight (#4) yarn Crochet Hook Size H scissors, yarn needle Chain 116 (multiples of 2) Row 1: Double crochet in the 4th chain from your hook. (your initial "chain" now counts as a double crochet).
♥Skip 1 chain, make 2 double crochets in next chain (makes a "V"), repeat from ♥ across. Chain 3 turn.
Row
2: Repeat Row 2 until blanket is 32" (64 rows) or desired length. 32" is a nice size because this blanket is stretchy and you can wrap it around the baby for more warmth. End off and weave in ends!
