Size H crochet hook
Small amount of 4 ply worsted
weight yarn in Red, White and Blue
Needle and thread to tie knot
in ribbon
Safety pin
Holding a strand of each
color (3 strands)
Leave tail of 3"
Chain 11 (because
this tragedy happened on the 11th)
Pull yarn all the way through
on 11th chain and cut off leaving 3" tail.
Make a little knot in the
beginning and end 'tails' about 1/4" from the chain.
Trim ends closely.
Fold over to form Ribbon.
Tack with a stitch in the center to hold.
Use a safety pin or pin back,
and place in the back of this ribbon.
