Shell Version of Bev’s Easy Baby Booties

    Materials
    DK or sport weight yarn (2 oz)

    Size G crochet hook
    Yarn needle
    Chain 31
    Row 1 - Dc in 4th chain from hook. Dc in next 2 ch. *skip 2 ch (2dc, ch 1, 2dc in next stitch, skip 2 ch, 1dc in next chain) repeat from * across. (4 shells) Dc in last 3 ch. Chain 3 turn.
    Row 2 - Dc in next 2dcs. *Skip 2 stitches (2 dc, ch1, 2 dc in chain 1 space in shell. Skip 2 stitches 1 dc in next stitch) repeat from * across. Ending with 3 dcs. Chain 3 turn.
    Row 3 - Dc in next 2dcs. *Skip 2 stitches (2 dc, ch1, 2 dc in chain 1 space in shell. Skip 2 stitches 1 dc in next stitch) repeat from * across. Ending with 3 dcs. DO NOT chain 3.
    Row 4 - Slip stitch in first 5 stitches. Chain 3. Dc in next 2 stitches. Skip 1 stitch. Dc in next stitch. *Skip 2 stitches. (2 dc, ch 1, 2dc in chain 1 space, skip 2 stitches dc in next stitch) repeat from * one more time. (2 shells). Skip 1 stitch. Dc in next 3 stitches. Leave last 5 stitches unworked. Chain 3 turn.
    Row 5 - Dc in next 3 stitches. *Skip 2 (2dc, ch1, 2dc in chain one space, skip 2, dc in next stitch.) repeat from * once. Dc in last 3 dcs. 
    Chain 3 turn.
    Row 6 - Dc in next 3 stitches. *Skip 2 (2dc, ch1, 2dc in chain one space, skip 2 dc in next stitch.) repeat from * once. Dc in last 3 dcs. Fasten off leaving tail long enough to sew up bootie. 
    Make a chain of 60 or use a piece of ribbon and lace through Row 4 to make a tie.
