Blanket for Baby or Lap Robe
Finished size = approx. 36" x 45"

Use a size H crochet hook with a soft 4 ply worsted weight yarn......Looks especially pretty with a varigated yarn.
For baby or lap robe-  Crochet 180 stitches loosely.

1st Row:  3 DC in 4th ch from hook. *skip 3 ch, 1 sc in next ch.  Ch 3, 3 DC, in same sc. repeat across from *. ending 1 sc in last ch.  Ch 3, turn.
2nd Row:  3 DC in last sc. *in next ch 3 space work 1 sc. ch 3, 3 DC* repeat from * across ending sc in top of ch 3 of previous row.  Ch 3, turn.  Repeat Row 2 until desired length.
DO NOT FINISH OFF!!!!!!!!

Continue to work pattern on the 3 straight sides making 1 sc, ch 3, 3 DC in  the same place they were made.  At the ends of rows, on the sides and in the chain of starting row.


PREEMIE VERSION

Use a size G hook, soft worsted or sport yarn.
Ch 70 (Make up as in pattern below until it measures approx. 15" for preemie blanket)
