This little angel is  one I created for our former group 'CRAFTING ANGELS' but she/he is for everyone who believes that Angels walk among us and watch over us.

Size G or H hook (H hook makes a 2.5" angel)

A few yards of white worsted weight 4 ply yarn (Red Heart works well)

HEAD
Ch 2,  then make 12 Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook.
(12 sc represents the 12 tribes of Israel)

WINGS/ARMS
Row 1: Sc in each of 4 sc, ch 1, turn (4 sc)
Row 2: Sc into the same st, 2 sc into the next 3 sc. Ch 1, turn. (7 sc)
Row 3: 1 Sc in same st, and 2 sc into each sc across. (13 sc)
(the 3 rows here represent Faith, Hope and Charity)

GOWN
Row 1: Turn and sl st into 2nd sc from the hook, and into the next 4 sc. Ch 1 and sc into the same st, sc into next 3 sts (3 sc).  Ch 1, turn
Row 2: Sc into the same st, 2 sc into each st across row. Ch 1 and turn. (7 sc)
Row 3: Repeat row 2 (13 sc)
(the 3 rows here represent God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit)

You can stop here, (do not do the ch 1 and turn part- just end) or you can add a row of color.  The row of color represents to me, the JOY we can bring with our gifts of charity.)
JOY row: Sc in each stitch across. (13 sc of color)
Finish off by cutting yarn, then weave the end through.  Glue or sew a pin or magnet to the back of your angel.

Please consider making a few of these for a wonderful group *** ONLINE-ANGELS ***
