Bev's SNUGGLY AFGHAN

Crochet hook size J
Motifs are 4" x 4"

SQUARE: Ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (for 1st dc), work 2 dc in ring (ch 2, 3 dc in ring) 3 times, ch 1, hdc in top of 1st dc. Do NOT turn.

Rnd 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in same ch-2 sp, ch 1, (in next ch-2 sp, 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1 [forms corner]) 3 times going around. Work 3 dc in next ch-2 sp, ch 1, hdc in top of 1st dc. Do not turn.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, 1 dc in each dc and in each ch 1 sp (in corners make 6 dc) around to the end.  5 dc in ch-2 spaces (corners) and join with sl st to top if the initial ch3 of this rnd. Fasten off.

221 squares blanket = 13 sq across x 17 sq down   =  52" x 68"  for an adult.  (99 squares ~ 9 sq x 11 sq = baby/toddler  36" x 44")

Whip stitch them together, or you can crochet them together as well. Looks lovely in pastels for Easter!
