2 skeins of baby yarn
size "G" hook for dress
size "H" hook for hat
yarn needle
2 buttons
contrasting ribbon or satins cord
ROW
1: Ch 54, dc in 4th ch from hook & in each st across, ch 1 turn
ROW 2: sk first st,*(sc, ch2, hdc) in next st, sk next st, Rep from * across
ending with sc in last st. ch 1 turn
ROW 3: 2 sc in first st *working
behind ch sp 3sc in each sc across to
last sc, 2 sc in last st, ch 1 turn
ROW 4: rep row 2 ch 1 turn
ROW 5: 2 sc in first st, work behind ch sp 2 sc in each sc across ch 1
turn
ROW 6: rep row 2, ch 1 turn
ROWS 7-10 rep rows 3-6 ch 1 turn
ROW 11: (Armhole row) 2 sc in first st, *sk ch sp 2 sc in next st, rep
from * 7 times skip next 11 ch sps, 2 sc in next 18 sts, sk next 11 ch
sps 2 sc in last 9 sts, JOIN ch 3 turn
ROW 12:sk first st *(sc, ch 2, hdc) all in next st. sk next st, rep
from * around JOIN ch 3 turn
ROW 13: dc in same sp as ch 3, 2 dc in each sc around, join ch 1 turn
ROW 14: (sc, ch 2, hdc) in each st around, join, ch 1, turn
ROW 15: 3 sc in each sc around, join, ch 1, turn
ROW 16: sk first st *(sc, ch 2, hdc) all in next st, sk next st,
rep from * around, join, ch 1, turn
ROW 17: 2 sc in same st as ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, join, ch 1,
turn
ROWS 18-50: rep rows 16-17 fasten off.
BACK
OPENING: with right side facing:
ROW 1: join yarn at top right corner of opening with a sl st, ch 1, sc
in same space, work 11 more sc down right side , sl st in center bottom
st, work 12 sc up left side, ch 1, turn
ROW 2:sc in first st, ch 1, sk next st, sc in next 5 sts, ch 1, sk next
st, sl st in bottom center st, sc in each st up[ right side, turn
ROW 3: sl st in each st down right side, sl st in bottom center st,sl
st in each st & ch up left side, fasten off.
Weave in all loose ends. Sew buttons opposite of button holes, starting
at center front of row 13 weave ribbon under 2 dc, and over 2 dc
all around tie in a bow at front center.

ROW 1: with size "H" hook ch 5, sl st in first st to form ring,
ch 3, work 11 dc in ring, sl st in top of ch 3, ch 1, turn(12 dc)
ROW 2: (sc, ch 2, hdc) in first st,rep around, JOIN with sl st to
first sc, ch 1, turn
ROW 3: 2 sc in each sc around, join, ch 1, turn (24sc)
ROW 4: (sc, ch 2, hdc) all in first st, * sk next st, (sc, ch 2,
hdc) in next st, rep from * around, join, ch 1, turn
ROW 5: 3 sc in each sc around, join, ch 1, turn
ROW 6: (sc, ch 2, hdc) all in first st, * sk next st, (sc, ch 2,
hdc) in next st, rep from * around, join, ch 1, turn
ROW 7: 2 sc in each sc around, join, ch 1, turn
ROW 8-15: rep rows 6-7
ROW 16: (sc, ch 2, hdc) in each st around, join, ch 1, turn
ROW 17: 2 sc in each sc around, join, ch 1, turn
ROW 18:(sc, ch 2, hdc) all in first st, * sk next st, (sc, ch 2,
hdc) in next st, rep from * around, join, ch 1, turn
ROWS 19-20: working behind ch 2 sps, (sc, ch 2, hdc) in each sc
around,ch 1, turn, fasten off at end of row 20.
Weave in all loose ends
make a bow out of ribbon, fold front of hat brim up and attach bow to
center front
