ending with a sc in middle dc of last shell. Ch 3, turn.
For the final row when it measures 10", do not chain 3 at the end but
slip
stitch in 4 shells.
HOOD
Do 9 rows of
pattern for the
hood, using about 4" of the bunting top to form the hood part and going
back and forth. End off cutting a long tail of yarn. Use
this tail to weave in and out in a running stitch, that you can pull
gently to gather the hood. The end ended up being a bit off
centered but it worked out fine to wrap the baby in.
LINING
You will need to line this bunting with pretty flannel. I just cut a
square of flannel a little bigger than the bottom of the bunting, then
tuck under the edge and use a sewing needle and matching thread to
stitch it to the bunting.
RIBBONS
Cut 1/4" ribbon 22" long - you need 3 of these.
Weave these in at the neck, the bottom and in the middle- you may need
to use a yarn needle to do this. Tie gently.
