These would be great for Homeless Shelters, Pine Ridge Reservation, or Millies Soup Kitchen.

Size 6-10 year old child (teens and adults)
2 oz of Red Heart worsted weight 4 ply yarn and 2 oz of Lion Brand Magic Stripes sock yarn or baby yarn
Size 10 knitting needles 

Gauge: 7 sts = 2" and 13 rows = 2"

Cast on 10 sts (3" wide) (14 sts) (4" wide)

Row 1-78 (86): Knit every row holding the 2 strands of yarns together as one.
Bind off, cutting a 10" tail. Now fold band short ends together and whip stitch closed.   Back stitch 4 sts to secure yarn.  Cut yarn. Flip right side out. 

This makes a lovely and useful gift, plus it uses up your scraps of yarn!
