December Recipes

CRANBERRY DREAM WHIP SALAD
2 cans cranberry sauce (1 whole berry and 1 jellied)
1 tsp lemon juice
2 envelopes Dream Whip
3/4 c. chopped pecans
Mix cranberry sauce with lemon juice and spread in 9 x 11" (2 qt) baking dish.  Prepare Dream Whip and fold in chopped nuts.  Spread over cranberries and freeze.  Serve 12-15

Bev's  No processed sugar PUMPKIN PIE
Preheat oven 400F
1 cup PUMPKIN (can be from a can)
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 c. skim milk
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 TBsp molasses
1/4 c. honey
1 Tsp vanilla
Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Pour into 9" unbaked pie shell. Bake for 50 mins or until done. I often place tinfoil on crust edges for about 30 mins. so they don't burn and then remove them during the last 20 mins cooking.

Done when a knife placed in between the center of the pie and edge, comes out 'dry'.

Leftover Turkey Casserole
1/2 lb cooked turkey (or ham)
1/2 lb American cheese
1 green pepper
1 cup peas
6 oz noodles
1 can mushroom soup
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp salt
Cook noodles according to pkg directions, drain.  Put turkey or ham, cheese and green pepper through a food chopper or finely chop by hand. Add noodles, peas, and salt. Pour into greased casserole. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.  Serves 6.
