projects can be made and sent to help, by anyone of any faith.***
Many displays were set up
for us to view the projects currently being accomplished by millions of
helpers across the world.
Thousands of Women arrived
at the Women's Conference ready to assist with making hats for the homeless,
tying quilts, painting toys for the blind and deaf, coloring and putting
together learning books for disabled children. 70,000 Hygiene Kits were
put assembled for shipment to Afghanistan in a 2 day period.
Hat pattern:
2 oz worsted weight yarn
Size I hook
Chain 39 sts
Sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch
1 and turn
Sc in 2nd sc from hook, ch
1 and turn
Continue for 54 rows
Fold hat in half and stitch
seam shut
Weave through top of hat
and pull tightly.
Make a pom pom and stitch
into top hole.

BANDAGES or any of these other items:
Use your own patterns or Bev's
for slippers,
booties,
scarves,
mittens,
hats,
afghans,
toys
or other crocheted and knitted items.
Items should be practical and durable. Catch stitch or pin together
each finished pair of mittens, slippers, or booties.
Do not use buttons for eyes on knitted or crocheted toys as they
may cause small children to choke.
