size 7 needles (or whatever size you need to get 7”)

cast on 33 sts.

 

Seed Stitch Border-

Rows 1 – 5 : k1, p1, k1, continue across row ending with a k1.

 

Main Basketweave Pattern-

Row 1 – k1, p1, k1 (edge), k7, p3, k7, p3, k7, (edge) k1, p1, k1.

Row 2 - k1, p1, k1 (edge), p7, k3, p7, k3, p7, (edge) k1, p1, k1

Row 3 – same as row 1

Row 4 – same as row 2

Row 5 – same as row 1

Row 6 – same as row 2

Row 7 – k1, p1, k1 (edge), p7, k3, p7, k3, p7, (edge) k1, p1, k1.

Row 8 – k1, p1, k1 (edge), k7, p3, k7, p3, k7, (edge) k1, p1, k1.

Row 9 – same as row 7

Row 10 – same as row 8
