I was told recently
of the 'great
dangers' of the website 'MySpace.com'. I have to say that I have
heard a few reports before, talked to my kids about it, and they tell
me they are fine on there because they have theirs set so only the
people they approve can go on there. ok- no problem...
The other day, I opened up one of my kids myspace.com accounts.
Since I use Mozilla and it saves all passwords I was able to open it...
What I saw and read horrified me! My daughters
information was fine, and there were photos of her cousins and such,
and she had hers set up to block everyone but her friends and
family. I am quite sure there are good things on myspace, in
fact, I have heard from a few people that there are some good things.
HOWEVER, please be aware that there are
'bulletins' on there that are
incredibly bad and they were right there as soon as I signed in to my
daughters mail page!
In our
world these days, things that were once
shocking and evil are now part of the everyday culture and
'norm'. The language these teens were using was just so wrong,
and some are
Church-going, 'innocent' kids right (?) Make no mistake about it,
our kids are being deceived, and some of them are deceiving us as
parents, not telling us about the evil on there.
I clicked on the page to get into my daughters MySpace, and right
there in living color is the bulletin board -- she says she never reads
those. You don't really have to! The 'F word' is used in
the
subject lines, the photos on some of them as I went exploring were
explicit. Girls in bikins, guys wanting sex - all in the subject
lines right there in full view of your daughter or son too.
I clicked on a couple of photos and posts on the bulletins made by her
'friends' and others who are not friends but just post on those
bulletins.
The very few bulletin messages I saw within the space of about 5
minutes, were filled with:
* leudness,
* swearing,
* grim,
depressing statements,
* 'fwd.' messages about suicide,
* one 16 year old, had posted a
lengthy fwd article
called 'The First Time' - with an explicit description of how to have
sex with a virgin!
* They talk with one another
about their 'lesbian' experiences.
*** There were other things on
there that I will
not even post on this page. Most of it was unreal... and
shocking. And whether your kid reads it or not, it is still
there, in their faces, in YOUR home!
You cannot tell me that Satan is not controling that website and it is
THE current THING for our teens and young adults to post on!
You cannot believe how many predators and pedophiles read the blogs and
posts on 'myspace'! Kids are giving out phone numbers, they are
posting leud photos of themselves, they are telling where they go to
school and on and on and on... all giving these child molestors fuel
and information. 14 and 15 year old girls have been molested,
sexually assaulted, raped and murdered because of giving out that kind
of info. Police are investigating how several murders could be
linked back to conversations and info from this website.
As one mom to another, living in this dangerous world, do NOT allow
your kids to use MySpace! Please do NOT think your teenager is
innocent. He/she might be, but others, in full view, are NOT!
There are some wonderful places, family friendly caring websites
online, but be aware as parents that there is more evil out there than
most of us are aware of, and we have to protect our kids, even our
teenagers. They are our future!

Maybe this webpage will keep just ONE child from being raped or killed.
