So many of you have helped Laura with bird and bunny nests. She does not need those at this time, but they do need CAT-NESTS now!! Lots bigger to make but very needed for the SPCA.
"We (SPCA) have a need for crocheted or knitted "cat nests" or "cat-cozies" ... something with a "lip" that cats can snuggle up into. But I have not developed a pattern for those yet. They would be shaped something like the ones in the photo above:
Here's a felted cat bed pattern online:
another:
We need them to be about 22" square or round (or less) so that they fit in the cage along with a cat litter pan.
I'm rather new to felting and I'm not sure if FELTED cat beds can be re-washed, and we really need them to be washable.
OR .. we have a gal that crochets cat nests/afghans for us, and we'd be happy to take YARN donations (washable yarns only) because we try to supply her with yarn scraps so that she doesn't buy any. (She's not a gal of means, so we appreciate just the time it takes for her to crochets for our cattery.)"
